Badmus Commends Oyebamiji’s Leadership, Prays for Governorship Success at 60

The Executive Director, Marine and Operations of the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Engr. Olalekan Badmus, has extended heartfelt felicitations to the immediate past Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, on his 60th birthday.



In a congratulatory message issued on Monday, Engr. Badmus described Oyebamiji as a steadfast administrator, a refined technocrat, and a visionary leader whose exemplary public service continues to inspire young professionals and rising political figures within Osun State and across the country.


He commended the former NIWA helmsman for his unwavering dedication to public service spanning several decades, noting that Oyebamiji has consistently embodied loyalty, competence and excellence in every position he has occupied.


Badmus emphasized that attaining the age of 60 is a remarkable milestone, particularly for a man who has devoted much of his life to the advancement of Osun State and national development. He further praised Oyebamiji’s leadership style, describing it as calm, strategic and people-oriented.


Expressing confidence in Oyebamiji’s political prospects, the NPA Executive Director prayed that by this time next year, the former NIWA chief would be celebrating his birthday as the Governor-Elect of Osun State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).


According to him, “Osun needs competent, experienced and focused leadership, which AMBO represents in full. It is my prayer that God crowns his efforts with victory in the 2026 governorship election.”


Badmus wished the celebrant long life, sound health, and greater accomplishments in the years ahead, adding that his diamond jubilee marks the beginning of a new chapter of expanded service to Osun State and Nigeria.
