Dr. Kayode Adegbulugbe, Chairman and Founder of the Agboluaje Kajola Foundation (AKF), has been described as a visionary philanthropist whose commitment to poverty alleviation and community development has transformed thousands of lives across South-West Nigeria.
The Global Team Leader of the foundation, Dr. Bakare Oladimeji, stated this in a statement issued on Saturday to mark Adegbulugbe’s 51st birthday.
Bakare said Adegbulugbe’s life and humanitarian interventions exemplify compassion, visionary leadership and selfless service to humanity, noting that his initiatives have continued to provide hope and opportunities for vulnerable individuals and communities.
According to him, the Agboluaje Kajola Foundation has committed more than ₦800 million to various humanitarian interventions across the South-West, benefiting market men and women, farmers, artisans and other members of disadvantaged communities.
He disclosed that the foundation had also facilitated the installation of more than 500 solar-powered streetlights across major markets in the region, contributing to improved security and economic activities in beneficiary communities.
Bakare added that the foundation had established and supported more than 50 cooperative societies, through which beneficiaries had received interest-free loans to strengthen their businesses and improve their livelihoods.
He described the interventions as evidence of Adegbulugbe’s commitment to sustainable empowerment and poverty alleviation rather than temporary relief.

He noted that the foundation’s focus on poverty alleviation, grassroots empowerment and community development had continued to make a meaningful difference in the lives of beneficiaries across the region.

Bakare congratulated Adegbulugbe on his 51st birthday, describing the milestone as an opportunity to celebrate his contributions to humanity and community development.
He urged other well-meaning Nigerians, philanthropists and organisations to emulate Adegbulugbe’s commitment to community service, stressing that collective efforts remained essential to addressing poverty and improving the living conditions of vulnerable citizens.
